Pipe blasting equipment
Selmers' blasting machines cover all requirements for cleaning pipe, both for the inside and the outside surfaces, for small or large diameter, for low and high capacities.
The standard machine is based on the use of metal abrasives, however, for special application requirements also designs for other type of abrasives such as sand, corund, water or ice are available.
Depending on the diameter and required capacity, the machine can be configured for air blasting or mechanically driven turbine blasting. Cleaned surface conforms to internationally referred specifications such as Swedish standard SIS, ISO or American standard NACE.
Special attention in the design of Selmers' blasting machines is given to:
- minimising of wear
- quick change over times to other diameters
- customising the machine to the specific operational circumstances
- ease of operation

External pipe blasters
Available for pipes of ½" up to 120", consisting of wear resistant housing with seal-off system for pipe entrance & exit, abrasive recycling system, dust separation system and strategically located blast turbines. Available in stand-alone execution or in dual blaster execution (for extra high capacities or cleanness requirements).

 Internal pipe blasters
Available for pipes of 2" up to 120" and - in a special execution - for pipes down to ½". Operation either by compressed air (for all diameters) or mechanical driven turbine (not for the smallest diameters). Compressed air blasting system can handle up to 6 pipes simultaneously. The mechanical turbine blaster comes with easily exchangeable blast booms for the different range of diameters and extra high capacities.
All blasting stations are fitted with pipe front-end and rear-end enclosure cabins, abrasive reclaim system, dust separation, internal pipe support for the blast boom(s) and drive cars to insert the boom into the pipe vice versa.

Very large diameter blasters
For use with pipes with a diameter larger than 120", such as sewer pipes, fall-out pipes or hydropower station pipes. For these pipes Selmers provides special blasting machines, operating inside or outside the pipe, either for shop operations or in-situ operations. Blasting machines are mobile or for fixed position and include an abrasive recycling system with dust separation. Operation is by means of air or by mechanical driven turbine.

Rebar blasters
Multi-turbine blasting machines specially designed for the cleaning of steel reinforcement bars for concrete constructions. Available for simultaneous blasting for 6 up to 16 rebars and suitable for high linear speeds. Blasting machines are fitted with abrasive recycling & dust separation system.
